Summary: Sophat.Space needs no account, never asks for passwords or OTP codes, shows no ads and does not sell your data. Your check-up answers are stored on your own device. We receive data only when you choose to send it (community leaderboard, package request, support payment, Telegram bot) plus basic usage statistics.

Sophat.Space is a free, Khmer-language digital-safety education project run by Sophat CHY in Cambodia. Sophat.Space / Sophat CHY is the data controller for the data described here.

This policy covers the website sophat.space, the Sophat.Space apps for Android and iOS and the Telegram bot @SophatSpace_bot. The mobile apps show Sophat.Space check-ups using content from sophat.space. They send only anonymous usage counts (for example which screen was opened, and iPhone or Android) and, if you choose, community leaderboard scores. The apps have no ads and no third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDKs, and they do not request access to your location, camera, microphone, contacts or files.
We do not collect accounts, real names, phone numbers or e-mail addresses (unless you type them in a package request yourself); passwords, OTP or recovery codes — Sophat.Space never asks for them; GPS location, contacts, photos or files; card numbers or your bank account numbers.

Your check-up answers, progress, scores and settings (such as "read aloud") are stored only in your browser or app (local storage) and are not sent to our servers. Clearing the app's data or your browser data deletes them.

Names you choose to show on the leaderboard or supporters wall are public. Offensive names or messages are hidden automatically.
First-party statistics: pages or app screens viewed, topics, device type and browser or app (Android/iOS). Your IP address is used only for a moment to make a visitor code that changes every day and is not stored. Google Analytics 4 (public website pages; not used in the mobile apps): usage statistics using Google cookies/identifiers. Vercel Web Analytics: cookieless page-view statistics. Server logs and abuse protection: our host (Vercel) may log IP addresses and request details for a short time for security and to prevent abuse (e.g. rate limits).
Leaderboard entries, the supporters wall and the Telegram user list: until you ask us to delete them. Package requests: about 12 months after they are handled. Payment records: as needed for accounting. Unfinished Telegram check-ups: deleted automatically after a short time. Database backups: 30 days.
You can use Sophat.Space fully without sending anything — the leaderboard, requests and support are optional. Choose "anonymous" on the leaderboard and when supporting. Delete your on-device answers by clearing the app's or browser's data. Ask to see, correct or delete your data (scores, supporters-wall name, requests or Telegram data) via the contact below — we reply within 30 days.

All connections use HTTPS. The admin panel is protected by a password and two-factor authentication (2FA). Backups are encrypted. No system is 100% secure, but we collect as little data as possible.

Sophat.Space is a general-audience service and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. When used in classrooms, teachers should ask students to choose "anonymous" and not to send personal information. If you believe a child has sent personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
